Junior Drafting Designer – Energy Division

About the role

Egis is expanding its North‑American presence and is looking for a Junior Drafting Designer to join the Energy Division in Calgary. Working in a hybrid model, you will support multidisciplinary teams delivering oil‑and‑gas and broader energy infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update plot plans, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), piping layouts, isometrics, material take‑offs and tie‑in details.
• Produce and revise technical drawings across conceptual, detailed and revision phases, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards.
• Perform drafting quality control and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Contribute to internal drafting standards and special projects as assigned.
• Travel to field locations when required.

Required profile

• 2‑year technical degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
• 1‑2 years of experience in an engineering firm serving oil‑and‑gas or energy sectors (asset).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
• Self‑starter who can follow direction from senior designers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D (asset).
• Experience with Autodesk Revit (asset).
