Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a Junior DevOps Engineer you will develop and support the tooling that external customers use to build, deploy and operate Elastic Path’s Self‑Managed Commerce solution. The position is fully remote within Canada and involves direct interaction with customers to help them use and troubleshoot these tools.

Key responsibilities

• Gain a deep understanding of Self‑Managed Commerce build, deployment, infrastructure and operations.
• Apply software engineering, Linux administration and TCP/IP networking principles.
• Develop, maintain and support Jenkins and GitLab automation pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and update infrastructure code that uses AWS, Maven, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bash and Python.
• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure components such as EKS, ECS, EC2, ECR, IAM and VPC.
• Collaborate with team members, support customers and gradually guide them independently.
• Follow best software development practices and contribute to customer‑facing documentation.
• Adhere to Elastic Path security policies in daily tasks.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Eagerness to work in an open, collaborative engineering team.
• Interest in continuous improvement and learning new cloud technologies.
