IT Support Technician

About the role

Grewal Guyatt LLP is seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to serve as the frontline of its internal IT department. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide Tier 1 technical assistance to staff across the firm and ensure smooth operation of hardware, software, and endpoint devices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, prioritize, and respond to incoming IT tickets, delivering timely Tier 1 support to onsite and remote users.
• Install approved software, perform basic system updates, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and other business applications.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to senior staff while documenting all steps.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, peripherals, and software licenses.
• Log support requests with detailed troubleshooting notes and final resolutions.
• Prepare, configure, and deploy workstations and user accounts for new hires.
• Assist with equipment moves, hardware replacements, setup, and routine maintenance.
• Provide clear, user‑friendly guidance on standard software tools and IT best practices.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
