About the role
Blueshift Computer Technology Inc. is looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our on‑site team in Calgary. You will provide technical assistance across hardware, software, networking and cloud platforms, ensuring smooth operations for both internal users and client environments.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver phone, email and in‑person support for Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365 issues.
- Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi and firewall connectivity problems.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and Azure Active Directory, including user provisioning, MFA and conditional access.
- Support Azure services such as virtual machines, backups and identity management, and assist with cloud migrations.
- Perform hardware, software, server and network upgrades; configure Cisco and Sophos devices.
- Implement and manage local NAS and cloud‑based backup solutions, applying cybersecurity best practices.
- Create and maintain user accounts in AD, Azure AD and Exchange, and configure Group Policies.
- Image and deploy workstations, track tickets in the Help Desk system (ConnectWise experience a plus), and maintain A/V equipment.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree, technical school graduate, or equivalent IT experience.
- Minimum 5 + years of hands‑on IT support experience.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows 10/11 and macOS.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and security practices.
