Intermediate to Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

CBCL Limited is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Electrical & Instrumentation team in Fredericton. The role involves leading design and delivery of electrical systems for industrial, water, wastewater and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and design electrical systems for industrial facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and related infrastructure.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists.
• Prepare detailed designs, contract documents and technical specifications for power distribution, lighting, telecommunications, fire alarm, instrumentation and control systems.
• Offer electrical engineering advice across multidisciplinary teams to ensure project execution and technical excellence.
• Incorporate safety standards, risk analysis and compliance with electrical codes and best practices.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client interaction.
• Conduct site surveys, assess existing infrastructure and oversee construction activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with registration or eligibility for registration with a provincial engineering association.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, control systems and instrumentation.
• Proficiency in Revit for electrical design and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Strong communication, organizational and time‑management skills.
