Hybrid React Developer – Montreal

About the role

We are looking for a skilled React Software Developer to join an investment bank in Montreal. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while contributing to the bank’s agile transformation, technology culture, and delivery of high‑value software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to analyse user stories and define requirements.
• Design, develop and deploy React‑based single‑page applications and related APIs.
• Ensure comprehensive testing using React Testing Library, Vitest, xUnit or Jest.
• Implement best practices for security, scalability, maintainability and user experience.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub Actions and support production releases.
• Deploy and manage cloud‑based applications, preferably on Azure.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge and continuously improve the codebase.
• Reduce technical debt through strong software craftsmanship.

Required profile

• Strong focus on high‑quality software craftsmanship.
• Experience creating web solutions and SPAs with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with CSS preprocessors (SASS/Less) and bundlers such as webpack.
• Hands‑on experience building Web APIs using object‑oriented programming, especially .NET C#.
• Experience automating CI pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions) and deploying to Azure.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
