Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, people‑focused Human Resources Generalist to join a growing accounting firm. In this role you will support multiple locations, handling the full spectrum of HR activities from recruitment to employee relations, ensuring a positive experience for all staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and programs aligned with business goals.
• Manage full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding for professional, administrative and operational positions.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment legislation and maintain accurate HR records.
• Support benefits administration, HRIS data integrity, payroll validation and generate HR metrics for decision‑making.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a professional or corporate environment.
• Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• HR designation (or working toward one) is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
