Human Resources Assistant (Resort)

About the role

The Human Resources Assistant will support the Director of Operations by administering HR procedures and programs for Elk Ridge Resort. This full‑time, year‑round position works with both seasonal and permanent staff, ensuring managers and employees have the information they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR support to managers, including hiring, policy communication, and performance management.
• Prepare and post job openings, review applications, arrange interviews, and draft offer letters.
• Assist with payroll processing and generate required payroll reports.
• Oversee the Saskatchewan Blue Cross employee benefits program.
• Manage staff accommodations, room assignments, rent calculations, and related communications.
• Support the foreign worker program and maintain up‑to‑date HR policies.
• Facilitate employee onboarding, orientation, and verification letters.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR files.
• Prepare quarterly staff newsletters and assist with staff events.
• Participate in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee and handle workers‑compensation paperwork as needed.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of payroll and HR experience.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of Saskatchewan labour standards and immigration practices is an asset.

Required skills

• Experience with the Payworks payroll system.
