Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will lead full-cycle recruitment across Smartrend Manufacturing Group, partnering with hiring leaders to attract, assess and hire top talent that supports the company’s growth. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage multiple recruitment projects and contribute to continuous improvement of talent acquisition practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for assigned positions, including intake meetings, job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, reference checks and offer preparation.
• Partner with hiring managers to define requirements, develop recruitment strategies and support workforce planning.
• Source and engage active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals and professional networks.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records in the ATS and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience managing full-cycle recruitment.
• Post-secondary education in human resources, business administration or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience recruiting for manufacturing, engineering, technical or skilled-trades positions is preferred.
• Strong interviewing, candidate-assessment and written communication skills.

• LinkedIn Recruiter for candidate sourcing.
• Breezy applicant tracking system (ATS) proficiency.
• General ATS usage and recruitment best-practice knowledge.
