HR Generalist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle at our Mississauga location, with occasional travel to Longueuil. The role blends strategic partnership with hands‑on HR operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with Canadian employment legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, and off‑boarding processes to create a positive employee experience.
• Coordinate payroll functions, including time reporting, compensation updates, benefits, and RRSP administration.
• Maintain confidential employee records, HRIS data, contracts, and documentation.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, training coordination, and workplace investigations.
• Assist managers with performance reviews, disciplinary actions, leave management, accommodations, and return‑to‑work programs.
• Administer benefits programs and act as a point of contact for employee inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Contribute to HR reporting, audits, policy updates, and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support Occupational Health & Safety initiatives and WSIB/WCB claims administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
• Experience with payroll administration and HR operations.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
