Housekeeping Manager – Quebec City

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager leads daily operations for housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry services at a Marriott property in Quebec City. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and meet brand standards while supporting budgetary goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations for housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry, ensuring timely communication of room status to the Front Desk.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, assigning work orders and verifying corrective actions.
• Manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms, guaranteeing adequate stock levels.
• Develop and supervise an inspection program, monitoring compliance with policies and standards.
• Track departmental budgets, analyze financial impact, and strive to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Train, schedule, and evaluate housekeeping staff, handling attendance, performance, and disciplinary processes.
• Collaborate with other departments, attend meetings, and communicate goals clearly to the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, budgeting, and inventory control.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team while maintaining high service standards.
