Hotel Maintenance Manager – Hands‑On Role

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Hotel Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of our 125‑room Courtyard Mississauga. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and the overall physical plant to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise preventive maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and pool systems.
• Manage two direct reports, handling hiring, training, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate with department heads to address maintenance requests promptly.
• Maintain exterior grounds, curb appeal, snow removal, lawn care and painting.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, franchise, local, state and national codes and life‑safety regulations.
• Administer service contracts and assist the General Manager with the annual capital plan.
• Participate in safety and energy‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or large‑facility maintenance, preferably within a Marriott or similar brand.
• Ability to lead a small team, conduct interviews, training and performance evaluations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑service mindset.
• Willingness to work on‑site and respond to guest inquiries courteously.
