Head of Field & Commercial Strategy

About the role

The Head of Field & Commercial Strategy is a senior commercial leadership position responsible for accelerating market execution and shaping long‑term growth strategy for Canada. Reporting to the General Manager, this newly created role connects strategy with execution across Field Sales, Category & Commercial Insights, and Shopper Insights.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the national Field Sales organization to deliver best‑in‑class execution across all trade channels.
• Develop and execute a national Field Sales strategy aligned with commercial priorities, driving placement opportunities and SKU expansion.
• Establish execution standards, KPIs and scorecards to maximize in‑store presence and optimize coverage models.
• Own the Category & Commercial Insights function, transforming market, customer and syndicated data into actionable strategies.
• Lead the use of syndicated data sources such as NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI) and other market intelligence tools.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to align field priorities with customer strategies and investment decisions.

Required profile

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience with a balance of strategic thinking, analytical excellence, commercial acumen and inspirational leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop high‑performing sales teams and drive executional excellence.
• Strong understanding of shopper behavior, route‑to‑market strategies and data‑driven decision making.
