Graphic Designer, Brand Design & Packaging

About the role

Mattel is looking for an energetic, creative and self-motivated graphic designer to join its Brand Design team in Montreal. The team creates and produces visual communication strategies to promote and sell products across packaging and marketing channels. The designer reports to the Graphic Manager and works with Product teams, Brand Managers and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Create and adapt original designs for marketing materials such as product packaging, e-commerce visuals, website and social media content, following established guidelines.
• Communicate visual concepts clearly to obtain approval.
• Work with Marketing, Communications and Development teams to understand project needs and objectives.
• Guide and supervise external agencies when needed to complete projects.
• Manage deadlines and priorities while keeping execution quality consistent.
• Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in graphic design.

Required profile

• Degree in graphic design or equivalent training.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Ability to turn guidelines into compelling visuals, with strong organization and time management for multiple projects.
• Interest in marketing, design, toys and video games, and an understanding of emerging trends.
