Full‑Time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

The Fraser Health Authority is seeking a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service within the Fraser Health Trauma Network. The successful candidate will act as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant for activations and consultations, providing 24/7 on‑call coverage on a rotating schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trauma team activations and serve as the primary consultant for trauma cases.
• Assume Medical Responsible Physician (MRP) duties for admitted trauma patients.
• Participate in on‑call rotations: approximately seven consecutive days every two months, with onsite daytime coverage and home call within a 30‑minute travel window.
• Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to the multidisciplinary team of nine trauma physicians at ARHCC.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified physician in emergency medicine, surgery, critical care, or anesthesiology.
• Experience in trauma care; fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a diverse clinical team.
• Ability to meet the on‑call schedule and travel requirements.
