Full‑time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service within the Fraser Health Trauma Network. The physician will act as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant for activations and consultations and will be the most responsible physician (MRP) for admitted trauma patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the trauma team during activations and provide expert consultations.
• Serve as MRP for all admitted trauma patients.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call schedule (approximately 7 days every 2 months) with onsite daytime coverage and home call within a 30‑minute travel window.
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists and allied health professionals.
• Maintain trauma documentation and quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, or a related specialty.
• Demonstrated experience in trauma care; fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to fulfill on‑call duties as described.
• US‑trained physicians are accepted.
