Full‑Stack Developer – Information Services

About the role

The Senate of Canada is seeking a full‑stack developer to design, build, and maintain software solutions that support its legislative functions. You will work within the Information Services Directorate, contributing to agile projects and integrating commercial off‑the‑shelf systems while ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full‑stack applications using Microsoft .NET (C#) and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Design, integrate, and support commercial off‑the‑shelf systems.
• Produce detailed IT project plans and track progress against milestones.
• Apply agile development methodologies to deliver iterative releases.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations for application implementation.
• Ensure ongoing support, maintenance, and secure development of all systems.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree in Information Technology, Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in programming, analysis, and infrastructure for business applications.
• Experience preparing detailed project plans and offering technical guidance.
• Knowledge of project management principles and agile development practices.
• Basic understanding of secure development best practices and emerging technologies.
