Forward Deployed Engineer – Infrastructure Specialist (Public Sector)

About the role

Cohere is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the deployment of its North AI platform for Canadian public‑sector clients. You will work closely with enterprise IT teams to understand security, data‑sovereignty and infrastructure requirements, and deliver secure, compliant Generative AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end deployment of North in private cloud and on‑premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing and rollout.
• Partner with client IT groups to assess infrastructure, security controls and data‑management practices.
• Design and implement deployment strategies that meet data‑privacy and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to minimise downtime.
• Experiment at high velocity while maintaining quality to exceed customer expectations.

Required profile

• Proven experience working directly with customers on enterprise software deployments.
• Hands‑on experience deploying solutions in private or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong background administering production Kubernetes clusters and using Helm.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking and virtualization.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, changing priorities.
