Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our Kingston location and support our pharmacists and technicians in delivering high‑quality patient care. This full‑time position involves direct customer interaction, prescription handling, and daily pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer phone calls, and provide professional service.
• Enter, label, and package prescriptions under supervision.
• Count, measure, and package medications accurately following established protocols.
• Receive, stock, and rotate medication shipments while monitoring inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy area and dispose of expired or hazardous waste safely.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and assisting with insurance claims and prescription transfers.
• Support inventory audits and assist with other daily pharmacy duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail setting.
• Proficiency with Kroll prescription software and high accuracy in data entry.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
