Full Stack Developer

About the role

Stem Health is building a technology platform that powers every member and clinician interaction in its upcoming flagship clinic. As a Full Stack Developer you will own the design, implementation, and evolution of both member‑facing applications and internal clinical tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver full‑stack features for the member portal, onboarding flows, appointment scheduling, care coordination tools, health dashboards, and internal operational interfaces.
• Take features from requirements through design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing iteration with full technical accountability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and clinical stakeholders to translate needs into clean, performant software.
• Write front‑end code in JavaScript and HTML that follows accessibility standards and the Stem Health design system.
• Develop back‑end services in Ruby on Rails, including RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems such as EHR/EMR platforms, diagnostic labs, scheduling tools, payment processors, communication services, and insurance/benefits APIs.
• Own the data layer: design schemas, manage migrations, optimise queries, and ensure secure data flow.
• Develop and maintain webhooks and other integration mechanisms.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work autonomously in a small, fast‑moving team.
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end features in a full‑stack environment.
• Comfort collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders including product, design, clinicians, and operations.
