Front Desk Receptionist – Clinic

About the role

Axis Therapy & Performance is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients in its Scarborough clinic. The role supports therapists, manages appointments and ensures a welcoming, efficient environment that reflects the clinic’s values of determination, collaboration and outcome‑obsession.

Key responsibilities

• Greet clients, promote clinic culture and embody Axis core values.
• Manage therapist schedules, bookings, wait‑lists and call‑backs.
• Handle client arrivals, cancellations, no‑shows and follow‑up communications.
• Accurately capture referral information and process billing, invoicing and insurance claims.
• Maintain clinic cleanliness, safety standards and compliance with Axis policies.
• Perform cash reconciliation and end‑of‑day/month reporting.
• Collaborate with the Regional Coordinator on outstanding payments and business initiatives.
• Respond to medical request inquiries and ensure smooth communication among staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, hospitality or a similar front‑desk role.
• Positive attitude, strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
