About the role
The Town of Whitby is seeking a Part‑time Fitness Programmer to supervise the health club, deliver fitness assessments, and provide personal training to community members. Reporting to the Manager of Fitness and Aquatic Services, you will help create an inclusive, safe environment and promote the Town’s CARE values.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise the health club and its programs.
- Conduct fitness assessments and prescribe exercise corrections.
- Provide personal training to clients.
- Deliver high‑quality customer service within the health club.
- Manage public relations activities in the recreation centre.
- Enforce all health‑club standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Committed to creating an inclusive and safe space for all participants.
- Passionate about fitness and community engagement.
- Excellent listening and clear communication skills.
Required skills
- CSEP‑CPT certification (required).
- CPR/AED certification (Level C or HCP).
- Standard First Aid certification.
