Freelance Social Media Creator – Sports & Gaming

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Social Media Creator based in Alberta to produce engaging sports and gaming content for a major brand launching in the region. The role is remote and contract‑based, focusing on short‑form videos for TikTok, Instagram and X.

Key responsibilities

• Create and publish short‑form sports and gaming videos on TikTok, Instagram and X, following creative direction and feedback.
• Film, shoot and edit high‑quality videos using tools such as Premiere Pro or CapCut.
• Format, tag, schedule and maintain a consistent posting cadence across platforms.
• Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and ensure content aligns with brand voice and values.

Required profile

• Based in Alberta, Canada.
• 2–3 years of experience producing social media content in an agency, media, sports or brand environment.
• Deep passion and knowledge of sports culture, trends and fan communities.
• Comfortable appearing on camera and creating authentic, relatable content.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote freelance setting.

Required skills

• Video production and editing (Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar).
• Understanding of platform algorithms, posting mechanics and content formats that drive engagement.
• Strong portfolio showcasing social‑first video storytelling.
