Food Service Supervisor / Shift Manager

About the role

A&W at Bonniedoon Mall is looking for a reliable Food Service Supervisor/Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations. This full‑time, permanent position offers stable, year‑round employment with a respected Canadian brand.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate front‑line staff during assigned shifts.
• Assign stations, manage breaks, and ensure proper staffing levels.
• Open and close the restaurant, following safe cash‑handling procedures.
• Address operational, staff, or guest concerns calmly and professionally.
• Support training, coaching, and onboarding of new employees.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Complete shift documentation and required records accurately.
• Assist with inventory counts, monitor waste, and support basic food and labour cost control.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Deliver prompt, friendly service and handle guest concerns using A&W recovery standards.

Required profile

• Reliable and experienced in food‑service environments.
• Comfortable taking ownership of a shift and supporting both people and performance.
• Strong communication skills and a pride in delivering quality service.
