Kitchen Manager

About the role

The Kitchen Manager will lead the daily operations of our restaurant kitchen in Calgary, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficient service. This full‑time, permanent role reports to senior management and works closely with cooks and kitchen helpers.

Key responsibilities

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies and maintain accurate stock records.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks, kitchen helpers, and other staff.
• Train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient and supply needs for meal preparation.
• Ensure food and service meet quality‑control standards.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
• Establish work schedules and enforce health‑ and safety regulations.
• Perform duties alongside supervised workers when needed.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team‑player attitude.
