Food and Beverage Supervisor

About the role

The Food and Beverage (Outlets) Supervisor leads floor operations during assigned shifts, ensuring service standards are met and guests receive a seamless experience. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager and Director of Food & Beverage, the supervisor acts as the on‑shift leader in the absence of management, coordinating front‑of‑house, kitchen, and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the floor during shifts, overseeing service flow, guest needs and team performance.
• Assign sections, manage floor plans, and ensure opening, service and closing procedures are completed.
• Step into service roles as needed and support staff to meet baseline service expectations.
• Communicate daily specials, menu changes and key updates to the team and guests.
• Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor staff performance, provide real‑time direction, and document any performance or behavioural issues.
• Maintain accurate POS transactions, troubleshoot Micros/Symphony system issues and adjust bills.
• Complete pre‑shift meetings, pass‑on notes for leadership and ensure proper tip‑out distribution.

Required profile

• Valid ProServe Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of food service, bartending or restaurant experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Positive attitude, strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and stand/walk throughout the shift.
• Physical ability to lift trays up to 20 lb and perform reaching/bending tasks.
• Flexible schedule and eligibility to work in Canada.
