About the role
IN'S KITCHEN is seeking a First Cook to join its restaurant team in Ottawa. The role involves preparing and cooking meals, managing kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes, calculate food costs and plan menus.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, order equipment and maintain inventory records.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and compliance.
- Train, supervise and schedule kitchen staff and helpers.
- Recruit, hire and manage kitchen personnel.
