Financial Controller – Remote (Canada)

About the role

AiZtech Labs, a VC‑backed deep‑tech company developing AI‑driven digital health solutions, is looking for a Financial Controller to build and scale its finance function as the business moves from pre‑Series A to Series B and targets $50M+ ARR. This full‑time remote position will act as a mini‑CFO, partnering directly with the CEO and leadership team to drive financial rigor and support hyper‑growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end financial reporting, delivering monthly, quarterly and annual investor‑grade statements, board packages, ARR bridges and SaaS metrics.
• Lead FP&A activities, build dynamic financial models, scenario planning and cash‑flow forecasts, providing weekly burn and runway visibility.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product and Operations to align revenue generation, recognition and pricing strategies.
• Design and implement scalable finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, Ramp/Brex, Bill.com, Carta) and automated dashboards, replacing spreadsheet‑driven processes.
• Support investor relations, due‑diligence and fundraising, ensuring the company remains fundable at all times.

Required profile

• Proven experience in scaling finance functions for high‑growth SaaS or deep‑tech companies.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic insights.
• Excellent communication skills to work closely with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams.
