Field Leader – Solids Control (Remote, Canada)

About the role

Stage 3 Separation is seeking a Solids Control Field Leader to act as the on‑site expert for mud‑system solids control operations across remote Canadian locations. You will lead a team of technicians, ensure safe and efficient equipment performance, and provide expert recommendations to optimise cost and environmental outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and manage up to 10 Solids Control Technicians on rotating day, night and swing shifts.
• Oversee daily field operations, including rig‑up, rig‑out, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain strict compliance with HSE standards, company policies and site protocols.
• Coordinate with fellow Field Leaders, the Area Manager and client operators to deliver seamless service.
• Travel domestically to remote sites, working 12‑hour shifts on a 14‑on/7‑off or 20‑on/11‑off rotation.

Required profile

• Proven technical expertise in solids control equipment and environmental processes.
• Strong leadership, professionalism and the ability to mentor technicians of all levels.
• Willingness to work extended shifts, overtime and remote travel.
• Basic knowledge of electrical principles for troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of shaker tanks, centrifuges, drying equipment and pumps.
• Expert understanding of environmental processes and services.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Rig‑up and rig‑out procedures for solids control systems.
