Family Practitioner / General Practitioner – Vernon, BC

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practitioner to join an established, well‑run clinic in Vernon, British Columbia. The practice provides longitudinal family care for a community of 65,000 residents and offers optional inpatient, maternity, and addiction services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.
• Maintain continuity of care through long‑term patient relationships.
• Collaborate with a team of four onsite MOA staff and five physicians.
• Participate in optional inpatient, maternity, and co‑located addiction clinic services as desired.
• Contribute to teaching opportunities with UBC Southern Medical Campus when available.

Required profile

• Board‑certified Family Medicine physician licensed to practice in Canada.
• Commitment to community‑focused, patient‑centred care.
• Willingness to work in a fee‑for‑service model.
• Ability to integrate smoothly into an existing multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnosis across a broad spectrum of conditions.
• Management of chronic diseases and preventive health.
• Effective communication with patients and interdisciplinary staff.
