Pharmacist – Community/Retail Pharmacy

About the role

We are seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our community/retail pharmacy team in Vernon, BC. You will provide professional pharmaceutical care to customers and support the overall operation of the store.

Key responsibilities

• Advise customers on drug indications, contraindications, adverse effects, interactions and dosage.
• Dispense prescribed medications to patients and other health‑care professionals.
• Order, receive and maintain inventory of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Check prescriptions for correct dosage and appropriateness.
• Compound medications by accurately measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Maintain medication profiles, including controlled‑substance registries.
• Oversee storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, technicians and other staff.
• Ensure product quality meets standards for potency, purity, stability and safety.
• Evaluate labelling, packaging and advertising of drug products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada certification and provincial licensure.
• 2–3 years of experience in a community or retail pharmacy setting.
• Accurate, reliable, client‑focused with strong oral communication.
