Executive Director & CEO – Lead Canada’s Premier Tax‑Policy Forum

About the role

The Canadian Tax Foundation is seeking an Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer to steer Canada’s leading independent tax‑research organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Governors, the CEO will preserve the Foundation’s independence, reputation, and financial health while expanding its influence on tax policy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and governance oversight in partnership with the Board.
• Drive growth of membership, volunteer engagement, and program relevance.
• Modernize digital platforms, oversee responsible AI, cybersecurity, and data‑governance initiatives.
• Ensure sound financial management, risk oversight, and operational excellence.
• Represent the Foundation with policymakers, professional bodies, and the broader tax community.

Required profile

• Senior Canadian tax leader with extensive enterprise leadership experience.
• Proven ability to work with boards, manage risk, and oversee complex budgets.
• High integrity, strategic judgment, and inclusive collaboration style.
• Strong reputation among tax, public‑sector, professional, and volunteer networks.
