Engineer-in-Training – Long‑Range Planning

About the role

The Engineer-in-Training (EIT) – Long‑Range Planning will support the development and optimisation of mine plans at Green Hills Operations. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, you will work across mid‑ and long‑term planning horizons, contributing to scheduling, pit design, KPI analysis, economic evaluations and data‑management.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Assist with mine scheduling and design, including pit, spoil, haulage and closure planning.
• Perform iterative KPI analysis and reconciliation to drive continuous improvement.
• Carry out economic evaluations for mine‑plan scenarios, equipment purchases and operational strategies.
• Support the preparation and amendment of mine permit applications to ensure compliance.
• Contribute to annual reserves and resources reporting.
• Maintain planning data and promote best practices in data management.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) pursuing P.Eng. designation with EGBC or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in mine planning preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, safety‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
