Emergency Medicine Physician – Williams Lake, BC

About the role

Join a collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. You will work in a 24/7 emergency department that sees roughly 22,000 visits annually, offering a diverse case mix and ample procedural experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute care to patients across all ages in a busy ED.
• Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, general surgery, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
• Participate in leadership development opportunities via Interior Health’s NAVIG8 program.
• Contribute to the expansion of the ED and future hospital redevelopment projects.

Required profile

• Current CCFP, CCFP (EM), or FRCPC in Emergency Medicine.
• Emergency medicine experience is an asset, but mentorship is available for new graduates and international medical graduates.
