Emergency Medicine Physician – Williams Lake, BC

About the role

Join the collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. You will work in a 24/7 emergency department that sees roughly 22,000 visits each year, offering a broad mix of cases and procedural opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics‑gynecology, general surgery, pediatrics and psychiatry.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents as part of the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
• Participate in leadership development activities through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program.

Required profile

• Current CCFP, CCFP(EM) or FRCPC certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in Canada.
• Willingness to work in a community hospital setting and contribute to a multidisciplinary team.
