Elementary French Immersion Teacher – Full-time Permanent

About the role

The District School Board Ontario North East is seeking a qualified Elementary French Immersion Teacher for a new, full‑time permanent position at Timmins Centennial Public School. The successful candidate will begin on August 31, 2026 and will be responsible for delivering French immersion instruction to elementary students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide French immersion instruction to primary and junior students in accordance with the Ontario curriculum.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance the learning environment.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Required profile

• Ontario College of Teachers accreditation.
• Primary/Junior teaching qualifications (required).
• French as a Second Language (FSL) qualifications (required).
• Ability to provide a criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening prior to employment.

What we offer

• Salary in accordance with the current ETFO – Elementary Teacher collective agreement, prorated based on full‑time equivalent.
• Salary range: $54,016 – $120,363 CAD per year (steps A0–A2 and A3–A4).
