Elementary School French Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated French teacher to join our elementary school team. The successful candidate will deliver French language instruction to young learners, fostering both linguistic skills and cultural appreciation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess French lessons using discussions, audio‑visual tools, and field trips.
• Develop and adapt course content to meet the approved curriculum and individual student needs.
• Assign, correct, and provide feedback on homework and tests.
• Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher‑training workshops.
• Supervise teaching assistants, train student teachers, and offer tutoring support.
• Design and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.

Required profile

• Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate.
• Clear criminal record check and Child Abuse Registry clearance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately, dependably, and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to student‑centered learning and continuous professional development.
