Electrical & Instrumentation Field Engineer / Field Specialist

About the role

Bantrel is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Field Engineer / Field Specialist to join its mining team in Leroy, Saskatchewan. The role focuses on ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation work on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project complies with design intent and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and construction walk‑downs to verify compliance with electrical and instrumentation designs.
• Issue and manage technical queries, non‑conformance reports, and other notices through the Integrated Construction Centre (ICC) platform.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Owner (BHP), Engineers of Record (HBJV), and the construction team for all E&I matters.
• Interpret design documents, functional standards, and provide validation support to the construction crew.
• Address technical queries and resolve design‑related issues on‑site.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical & Instrumentation engineer with field experience, preferably in mining or large‑scale EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation design intent and construction practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with owners, engineering consultants, and construction personnel.
• Experience using ICC or similar project collaboration platforms.
