About the role
Super Choice Construction Ltd is seeking a reliable drywall taper to join its team across various job sites in the Edmonton area. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying plaster, and finishing drywall joints to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Apply successive coats of joint compound and sand seams and joints.
- Level, smooth, and finish plaster coats on walls and ceilings.
- Clean and prepare surfaces before work begins.
- Mix plaster ingredients to achieve the required consistency.
- Fabricate and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim.
- Use a taping machine to embed tape in compound and tape over joints.
- Smooth excess compound, allow it to dry, and perform final sanding.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing or plaster work.
- Ability to work at various construction locations.
Required skills
- Operation of taping machines.
- Plaster mixing and application.
- Installation of ornamental plaster panels and trim.
