Drywall Installer

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Drywall Installer to join our construction team in Edmonton. The role involves preparing surfaces, installing drywall, and delivering high‑quality finishes across a variety of job sites.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare surfaces before installation.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Measure, cut, fit and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs and joists.
• Apply joint tape using a taping machine and embed tape in joint compound.
• Cut openings for heating, ventilation, ductwork and electrical outlets.
• Install vapour barriers, thermal and sound insulation.
• Work safely at heights on scaffolding, swing stages or other platforms.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of drywall installation experience.
• Ability to work in various locations and at heights.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Drywall sheet measurement and cutting.
• Metal corner bead installation.
• Taping machine operation.
• Scaffolding erection and dismantling.
