Drywall Finisher & Plasterer

About the role

Jai Drywall Ltd is looking for a skilled Drywall Finisher & Plasterer to join our Calgary team. You will work on a variety of interior and exterior projects, applying plaster, installing drywall, and creating finished ceiling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster on walls and ceilings.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets and metal stud framing.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids, acoustic tiles and coffered ceilings.
• Install metal corner beads, wire mesh, steel studs and ornamental plaster panels.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowels and taping machines.
• Spray stucco or texture materials on exterior surfaces.
• Erect and use scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms.
• Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages while maintaining safety standards.

Required profile

• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in drywall finishing and plastering.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to varying site schedules.
• Physical capability to handle manual labor, lift materials and work at heights.
• No formal education required; on‑the‑job skill set is essential.
