Dock Worker

About the role
Manitoulin Transport is seeking a reliable Dock Worker to join its busy terminal team. You will play a key part in ensuring freight moves smoothly through the dock, supporting on‑time deliveries for a wide range of customers.
Key responsibilities
- Operate all dock equipment safely, including forklifts, dollies and hydraulic/electric pallet jacks.
- Load and unload various types of freight efficiently.
- Scan and inspect inbound and outbound shipments, documenting any shortages or damages.
- Assist with terminal clean‑up and perform routine dock safety checks.
- Help customers with pick‑up and drop‑off of freight.
- Work weekends and be on call as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a warehouse or cross‑dock environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
