Director & Practice Lead – Data Engineering

About the role

Lead TELUS Digital’s Data Engineering practice, shaping strategy, revenue, talent, and client impact. You will guide enterprise clients from data ambition to AI‑ready infrastructure while driving the practice’s market positioning and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define a multi‑year vision for the Data Engineering practice and align capabilities with emerging enterprise demand.
• Own P&L responsibilities, setting revenue targets, managing margins, and ensuring sustainable growth.
• Build and nurture a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of data‑driven innovation and engineering rigor.
• Act as a trusted advisor to C‑suite executives on data strategy, AI adoption, and governance.
• Collaborate with the broader Data, AI & Cloud practice to deliver end‑to‑end solutions across AI advisory, platforms, and cloud transformation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data and AI practices at a senior level.
• Track record of turning complex enterprise data estates into strategic assets.
• Strong credibility with C‑suite stakeholders and ability to influence business decisions.
• Demonstrated success in managing practice P&L and driving commercial performance.
