About the role
We are seeking a qualified dentist to join our team in Courtenay, BC. This permanent full‑time position involves providing comprehensive dental care to patients.
Key responsibilities
- Clean teeth and diagnose dental diseases.
- Examine patients' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue.
- Hire and train staff, and instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth.
- Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments.
- Design bridgework, fit dentures and provide appliances.
- Write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for denturists and dental technicians.
Required profile
- Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry.
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities and National Dental Examining Board of Canada Certification.
- Criminal record check and eligibility for professional liability insurance.
- Willingness to relocate.
- Experience in the field is an asset.
