About the role
Island Health is seeking a qualified internist to join its medical team in Courtenay, British Columbia. This role is a full‑time, permanent position offering an annual salary between CAD 300,000 and CAD 350,000. The successful candidate will work onsite at the Courtenay health centre and will be part of the provincial health authority. The position reports to the department head and requires adherence to provincial standards of care. Candidates must be licensed to practice medicine in British Columbia.
Key responsibilities
- Provide internal medicine services to patients in the Courtenay region.
Required profile
- Doctorate degree (MD) in medicine.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification.
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
