Database Analyst

About the role

The Database Analyst will support Catalyste+’s core operational database (Quickbase) and expense management system (SAP Concur) while providing backup to the Network Administrator. This hybrid position is based in Toronto and reports to the Manager, Business Systems Analysis & Support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, timely support and training to all Quickbase users, including staff, volunteers, and partners.
• Onboard new Quickbase and SAP Concur users, assigning appropriate permissions.
• Create and modify tools, reports, and workflows to meet internal needs within agreed timelines.
• Proactively suggest improvements to enhance system efficiency and data security.
• Maintain Quickbase performance and ensure compliance with privacy and security procedures.
• Provide accurate business analysis and assist with technology project planning and implementation.
• Act as an engaged project team member, contributing knowledge to achieve optimal results.
• Offer backup support for server, laptop/desktop, copier, and other IT infrastructure.

Required profile

• University degree with 1‑3 years of experience in business systems applications or IT.
• Strong initiative, time‑management skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strategic thinking combined with solid analytical and conceptual skills.
• Demonstrated thoroughness and forward‑thinking in problem‑solving.
• French language skills are a plus.
