Data & Reporting Associate – CPG & Retail

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Data & Reporting Associate to join our Reporting & Analytics team in Mississauga. You will extract, organize and analyse point‑of‑sale and inventory data for a leading Canadian snack processor, supporting strategic decisions across major retail portals.

Key responsibilities

• Extract and clean POS and inventory data from Canadian retail portals such as Walmart Retail Link, Loblaws Vendor Portal, Sobeys, and Metro.
• Track performance of top 40 SKUs, analyse sales velocity, regional trends and out‑of‑stock metrics.
• Maintain data quality through routine audits, validation checks and syndicated data ingestion from NielsenIQ or IRI.
• Build and update Excel reports and pivot tables; query relational databases using SQL to support analytics pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in CPG, retail or agency analytics.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on‑site full‑time.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, complex pivot tables).
• SQL for data querying and table joins.
• Experience with POS data extraction and retail portal systems.
• Familiarity with syndicated data sources such as NielsenIQ or IRI.
