Software Development Intern (Part-Time)

About the role

We're looking for a third‑ or fourth‑year student to join us part‑time as a Software Development Intern. This in‑person role is based at our Mississauga headquarters, with a minimum of 20 hours per week during the school year. You will collaborate with operations, customer success and finance teams to build and improve the tools we use every day.

Key responsibilities

• Develop internal tools and dashboards that help teams track performance and make decisions.
• Create automations that connect existing systems, enabling data flow without manual effort.
• Build workflow tools that support day‑to‑day operations.
• Contribute to customer‑facing applications.
• Maintain production tools by fixing bugs, adding improvements, and writing documentation.

Required profile

• Currently in the third or fourth year of a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related program.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one back‑end language such as Python.
• Front‑end basics: HTML, CSS and a framework like React or Vue.
• Back‑end basics: building and using REST APIs.
• Experience integrating third‑party APIs (e.g., Zoho, Slack, Google Workspace).
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
• Ability to review, test and debug AI‑generated code.
• Projects that use AI or LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude).
• Experience with SQL and spreadsheet‑style data sources.
• Version control with Git and writing basic tests.
• Strong communication skills with non‑technical stakeholders and documentation ability.
