Data Entry & PCM Administrator – Asbestos Lab

About the role

Pinchin Canada is seeking a Data Entry & PCM Administrator to join its Asbestos Laboratory in Mississauga. The role blends administrative support, inventory management, and precise laboratory data handling, contributing to critical environmental health work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support, including reception duties and coordination between laboratory and field teams.
• Manage inventory and procure laboratory supplies.
• Prepare and revise Certificates of Analysis and distribute reports to clients.
• Log routine and rush samples, and send afternoon reports to clients.
• Support health and safety protocols within the lab.
• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures, including participation in proficiency testing for PCM.
• Prepare and analyze asbestos air samples using Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM).

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or similar.
• Experience with PCM analysis and asbestos regulations (asset).
