Custom Application Development Lead

About the role

Accenture is seeking a senior technical leader to design, build and deliver modern enterprise applications and ECM solutions for a leading Canadian financial institution. You will guide architecture decisions, mentor distributed teams and ensure secure, resilient software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, development and implementation of custom software components, micro‑services and batch workloads supporting ECM and document processing.
• Architect integrations using Java/Spring Boot, REST/Open APIs and Kafka, and design AWS‑based workflows with Lambda, Batch and S3.
• Provide technical leadership for ECM modernization and cloud migration (FileNet, CMOD) to AWS.
• Drive CI/CD, containerization, IaC and job orchestration using GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and BMC Control‑M.
• Establish development standards, automated testing, security, observability and operational reliability practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of software development experience with proven leadership of development teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite at least two days per week in Montreal.
